ALBERTA, CANADA – Banff Sunshine Village invites you to an intimate Fireside Chat with pro snowboarder Liam Gill.
Indigenous pro snowboarder from Calgary, Alberta, Liam Gill, began his snowboard career on the slopes of Banff Sunshine. Liam represented Canada as the youngest male snowboarder at the prime age of 18 at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
Join Banff Sunshine for a Fireside Chat with Liam Gill on February 8, 2024 from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM at the Alt Hotel Calgary University District, (482 McLaurin St NW Calgary.)
With support from Alberta Snowboard, Fireside Chat with Liam Gill is FREE for guests to attend with donations strongly encouraged for Liam & Friends.
Liam & Friends is a passion project in efforts to eliminate any major obstacles that exist in sports for youth, such as financial barriers and accessibility. Liam & friends celebrates Indigenous pride, traditions and heritage while instilling self-confidence for Indigenous youth.
In 2023, Banff Sunshine Village hosted Liam & Friends, where Liam brought Indigenous youth from the Northwest Territories to Sunshine Village for a week of snowboarding. Click here to watch the recap video.
